RCC Support

Whether you are you planning to deploy an RCC, are you actively deploying and RCC, or do you have an operational RCC here is some helpful information and tools to get you off the ground.

Research Computing Cloud (RCC) is in alpha!

The RCC is a continuously developed and supported Research Computing Cloud for high performance, high throughput and scientific computing workflows.

An RCC combines scalable system services with scalable licensing structures that fit the needs of today's research and science landscape. Teams can rapidly deploy their own systems using Google Cloud Marketplace products or engage a team to assist them with their deployment.

Our team is able to develop and provision a Private Catalog in Google Cloud for your team to access if necessary.

The RCC will be moving into general release on Google Cloud Marketplace in Q4 2021.

Get started with your own RCC today. There are three critical phases in RCC deployment. RCC Application image development, RCC Application Image testing, and finally RCC Deployment. We have tools to assist you along every step of the way:

Step One

RCC Applications

Create apps with rcc-apps and set cloud triggers to build them.

Step Two

Fluid Run

Use fluid-run as a build step to test the applications you create.

Step Three

RCC Terraform

Deploy using rcc Terraform Infrastructure as Code.

RCC Private Catalog Requests

If you are interested in a managed RCC Private Catalog make a request for the applications and software you need built into an image for your team and we will provide you an estimate and quote to suit your needs.

Fluid Run is a tool for continuous integration and continuous benchmarking of high performance computing (HPC) and research computing (RC) applications on ephemeral resources on Google Cloud.

Fluid Numerics®' fork of Slurm-GCP is a configurable heterogeneous cloud cluster utilizing Slurm Workload Manager as it's core job management component. System features include swappable multi-partition flexibility, integrations with NFS and Lustre file systems, and image based compute nodes. Our cluster configuration can scale multi-zone to enhance your operations reach and provision resources around the globe. Cloud networking provides a simple solution for integration with your on-premise systems to incorporate a cloud-hybrid infrastructure. Fluid Numerics® offers Slurm-GCP in a system that integrates with your organizations research computing resources, both on-premise and cloud-native.

This Terraform module is derived from the open-source deployment-manager samples repository from Google Cloud. Fluid Numerics has updated the startup-script to pass certain variables through instance metadata.
